I'VE BEEN DEALING with a recurring problem, sinus drainage. The junk drips down my throat and gives me a constant cough, which medicine just doesn't seem to help. I wish there was some way to just get over this, but my doctor has told me that surgery may be the last resort option.

In other news, here in Oklahoma there have been some intense winds lately. With all the dry conditions, fires have been breaking out, especially last night. It was a really eerie feeling to have all the fires around us, seeing all the fire trucks rushing around, and hearing them late into the night. The news said that the gusts were going up to 25 mph, but I really think they were much higher than that.

I still gotta get my Christmas shopping started. It's not that I am procrastinating, it's just that the $ can become an issue. I have it right now, but there are some other things we will be doing this month, as well as some large bills that will be due. The new wages I will be earning will certainly come in handy.

I admire those people who can shop within a decent range. I suppose I have yet to master the art of shopping. A sobering thought, because I thought I had a handle on my spending.
